Description - Villa Riviera

This lovely, five bedroom, provence-style detached villa, was completed in 2003. It is a lovely clean, bright villa with cool floor tiles, comfortable furniture, its own private swimming pool and garden, with wonderful views of Cannes and the Mediterranean. Approached by a private road, approx. 100metres above sea level, it gains benefit from a gentle evening breeze from the sea.

It is situated in Le Cannet, the northern part of Cannes itself. Le Cannet is world famous for it's connection with the arts, there being a number of art galleries, as well as six local restaurants, all within 10mins walk of the Villa. It is a 30mins drive from Nice airport, just 5 mins drive from the famous Cannes Croisette and beautiful golden beaches, you will be ideally located.

Cannes is a wonderful town. It has a sophisticated French Riviera atmosphere created by a mixture of traditional buildings, classic hotels and restaurants, beautiful yachts and golden sandy beaches. As well as the main beachfront of Cannes, there are plenty of secluded beaches and coves within 15mins of Villa Riviera.

A description of the accommodation is as follows;

  Master Bedroom (16' x 12') double room with two sets of double French doors, both opening onto a sunny balcony, and fantastic views of Cannes & the Mediterranean, which can be seen from the four-poster bed!

  Bedroom 2 (12' x 12') large bedroom with twin pine beds, sunny balcony and fantastic views of Cannes & the Mediterranean, opening onto the balcony.

  Bedroom 3 (13' x 10') double bedroom with sunny balcony and fantastic views of Cannes & the Mediterranean, there is access via the french doors to the balcony as well.

  Bedroom 4 (11' x 11') double bedroom with a shared en-suite bathroom. This room has a nice view over the garden.

  Bedroom 5 (18'x 12') large bedroom with a shared en-suite bathroom. This room has two double beds, so it can be used as a double or twin room.

  Second Bathroom. There is another large family sized bathroom with shower, bath, toilet and double sinks,

  Kitchen. A new, purpose built kitchen with all the necessary facilities of a modern kitchen including washing machine, dishwasher, cooker, hob, fridge/freezer and french doors opening to the garden. It also has a breakfast bar.

  Lounge. A large, bright comfortable lounge (22' x 16') with three sets of double french doors opening onto the verandah, just a few steps from the private pool. There is a TV, DVD and Video player which works with UK (PAL) video's. A music center which plays CD's and tapes and has a built-in radio, three couches to relax on under the large ceiling fan.

  Dining Room. The dining room is within easy reach of the kitchen, has double french doors opening to the verandah and garden. You can sit at the table and view the activities of Cannes and the Mediterranean whilst you dine.

  Garden & Swimming Pool. The garden surrounds the house and is approximately half an acre, which is split into smaller sections as it is terraced on the the side of a steep hill. There is also a fenced in swimming pool, perfectly positioned to compliment the outlook from the house. (Please note, the swimming pool is not heated and may be covered during Winter. It is generally available for swimming from May until September). There is an area of flat lawn which is fun for Children to play on and a flat area just outside the lounge doors has a large dining table and 10 chairs, plus the barbeque under a floodlight, ideal for evening meals. We intend to lay a patio on this area (and around the swimming pool) but the town Mayor has not yet granted permission, so currently these two areas are simply dirt/earth.

  There is also a car standing area , large enough for two cars, right by the entrance to the house, however, there is no parking problem or traffic passing as the Villa is accessed by a private road, which is very steep indeed!
